Certification of works of art: issues, fraud and solutions.

This conference aims to highlight the challenges and risks associated with the documentation accompanying works of art, and in particular the importance of having a certificate of authenticity. New frauds are emerging to which collectors, artists and professionals in the art world need to be alert. This is a key issue for ensuring confidence in the art world.

Several speakers will address the important issue of certification of provenance, illustrating their points with recent cases. Good practice exists to help protect the value of works of art over time.

A gallery owner, an artist, a bailiff, two experts and an entrepreneur who has developed a technological solution to these issues will be on hand to discuss the subject.
