This large Buddha has a height of 59 cm (incl. base)
Made of wood and golden lacquer Yakushi radiates a great calmness. He is depicted
on a lotus base in a sitting, cross legged position wearing a long robe. His right
hand is in Abhayamudra , the gesture of fearlessness and safety. His left hand is
holding a vessel containing the nectar of immortality. Above his long arched
eyebrows a round, white crystal is placed in the center of his forehead. This
symbolizes his love and affection for humanity. Another crystal is placed between
his curly hair. This crystal shall represent his supreme knowledge.
