About us
A history graduate, Jean Lemaire has been an antique dealer specializing in earthenware and porcelain since 1993. He is the heir to several generations of antique dealers established in the Sablon district of Brussels. Jean Lemaire has notably published *La Porcelaine de Tournai. Histoire d'une manufacture (1750-1891)* (Renaissance du Livre, 1999, 205 pp.) and *Faïence et porcelaine de Bruxelles* (Éditions Racine, 2003, 168 pp.). Maison Lemaire SA has participated in numerous international fairs, such as the Biennale and the Salon des Arts du Feu in Paris, the Brussels Ceramics and Collectors' Fair, and BRAFA. Jean Lemaire is a member of the Belgian Chamber of Experts in Works of Art, a director of the Royal Chamber of Antique Dealers of Belgium, and a director (Treasurer) of BRAFA, the Brussels Antiques & Fine Arts Fair.
