About us

Nature is anchored deep within his being, its beauty fascinates him. He reveals some of its secrets in animal sculpture, his profession since 2011. This achievement is the fruit of a long search that originated in his childhood where he walked paths and forests. At dawn, in the silence of the soul, he listened to the song of the birds, a call to contemplate Creation and find his source of inspiration there. Very early on, art energized his mind, painting in particular. But before modeling matter, he studied its different aspects as a physicist and psychologist, from particle physics to neuroscience, from the inert to the living. Isn't that the challenge of every creator? He will especially remember the beauty of the laws of the universe... His first steps in business were accompanied by an aspiration to create, a way no doubt to escape from a world felt to be very restrictive. He draws his first works on post-its… A revelation. Making a career out of it sounds instinctively obvious. The road will be long before devoting himself entirely to this passion. But he is already preparing himself, a pencil or a brush in his hand, then discovers the third dimension on which he will set his sights. He will attend the sculpture academy, follow training with a companion of duty. Animals spontaneously emerge from his hands or from his memory, in clay whose forms will be immortalized in bronze. The Ancients, the novelties, inspire his work. With patience he shapes the harmony of the animal, its essence, in his workshop, in music, preferably baroque. His figurative approach highlights life. He captures the moment when the animal crosses the threshold of movement, releasing its contained strength, its elegance. Anxious to radiate his passion to an audience of initiates, Hervé t'Serstevens joins the artistic section of the Cercle Royal Gaulois.
