Large White Engobe Horse - Tang Dynasty - TL
Blown Murano glass egg, offering a subtle gradient characteristic of Designer Carlo Nason for Mazzega.
The artwork takes the form of an imposing 35 cm Murano glass egg, crafted from hand-blown glass, displaying a subtle, characteristic gradient ranging from a frosted, milky opacity at its base to crystalline transparency towards the top. It rests on a discreet circular metal base. This exploration of translucency is typical of Carlo Nason. The minimalist, sculptural design perfectly illustrates the Italian Space Age aesthetic developed by Nason for Mazzega in the 1960s and 70s.
