art optique, Rectangle orangé, BrieucC
A kinetic and minimalist work where lines, colors and contrasts set our perception in motion.
In this work, BrieuC explores the principles of kinetic and optical art through a deliberately minimalist composition. Against a vast, light blue background, a luminous rectangle frames a thin, vertical black and white line. The apparent simplicity of the whole focuses the viewer's gaze and creates a visual tension between color, form, balance, and space. Here, movement does not necessarily reside in the object itself; it arises in the viewer's perception. The contrast of colors, the verticality of the line, and the relationships of proportion subtly alter our understanding of the image. Depending on the distance and duration of observation, the composition seems to vibrate, shift, or change in intensity. Drawing on the legacy of kinetic art and Op Art, BrieuC favors a refined geometric language in which each element contributes to the visual experience. A work that appears silent, yet comes alive as soon as the eye lingers upon it.
