La force naît de la fêlure - Duga
An instinctive and visceral work where bodies, signs and colours reveal the strength hidden in our fragilities.
With "Strength is Born from the Crack," DUGA places the human being, their wounds, and their formidable capacity for resilience at the heart of the canvas. Distorted figures, faces, hands, anatomical fragments, words, and symbols intertwine in a teeming composition. The painting seems to be constructed in the urgency of gesture and emotion. The bodies are imperfect, open, almost dissected: heart, brain, and organs appear as so many fragments of an inner cartography. At the center of the work, the phrase "Strength is born from the crack" offers a possible key to its interpretation. In DUGA's work, fragility is not concealed: it becomes a component of humanity and, paradoxically, the source from which its strength can emerge. Trained at the Beaux-Arts but claiming an expression liberated from academic codes, DUGA develops a profoundly instinctive language. His work is nourished in particular by outsider art, children's art, primitive art, and free figuration. In this work, bold colors, collages, writing, and deliberately distorted figures compose a world that is at once raw, vulnerable, and intensely alive. A painting about humanity, its flaws, and what allows it to stand tall. Mixed media on canvas: 100 × 120 cm, unique piece.
