The door, Olivier Lamboray
Between reality and dream, Olivier Lamboray opens a door to a poetic world where the impossible becomes familiar.
With The Door, Olivier Lamboray transforms a seemingly familiar urban scene into a territory where reality and imagination merge. The meticulously constructed architecture serves as the anchor of the composition. But little by little, the points of reference begin to shift: a facade disappears to open onto an infinite landscape, the moon floats on the horizon, a blue giraffe stands beside a solitary figure, while a dog seems to silently witness this strange scene. This juxtaposition of realistic and unexpected elements gives the work its unique, dreamlike atmosphere. The boundary between interior and exterior, city and landscape, the everyday and the fantastical becomes blurred. The title, The Door, reinforces this idea of ââpassage. The door can be the one we physically cross, but also the one that separates the visible world from that of the imagination. Through his palette dominated by blues and his attention to detail, Olivier Lamboray creates a universe that is at once calm, mysterious, and slightly offbeat, in which everyone is free to construct their own story. An invitation to cross the border of reality and enter a world where everything becomes possible. The Door, 2025, acrylic on linen canvas, 76 Ă 60 cm.
